What Twist Inserts Do

Every Pos-T-Vac twist-lock cylinder has a standard opening at the base. For most men the standard opening creates a workable seal — but for men with more pubic tissue, anatomical variation, or anyone seeking maximum vacuum efficiency, the standard opening can allow non-penile tissue (scrotal skin or supra-pubic fat) to be drawn into the cylinder during vacuum creation. This reduces suction consistency and can cause discomfort.

A bushing insert narrows the cylinder opening to fit more precisely around the shaft of the penis at the base. The tighter fit:

• Improves vacuum seal — less air escapes around the base during pumping
• Prevents or reduces scrotal or pubic tissue draw-in
• Increases comfort against the body during therapy
• Improves vacuum consistency — the motor or pump works more efficiently

Inserts are included with new BOS-2 and BOS-3 kits. This listing is for replacement inserts or for men who need a different size than what came with their system.

Four sizes are available — from largest (widest opening) to smallest (narrowest opening). Most men start with one of the middle sizes.
