Ultimate II Round Ring — Size Guide
| Size | Inner Diameter | Tension Level |
|---|---|---|
| RNDX (XS) | 7.6mm (0.310") | Firmest — maximum venous compression |
| RND01 (S) | — | Firm |
| RND02 (M) | — | Medium |
| RND03 (L) | 14mm (0.55") | Moderate |
| RND04 (XL) | — | Lightest |
Select the same size as your existing ring. If you are unsure which size to order, start with RND03 (L) for a moderate tension level and size up or down from there. The size is imprinted on each ring.
Mach Ring — Size Guide
Mach rings are available in multiple sizes numbered by tension level. The size number reflects the ring's tension — lower numbers are firmer, higher numbers are looser. Order the same number as your current ring. The size is marked on each ring. If replacing for the first time and unsure of size, call us: 866-218-0902.
When to Replace Your Tension Rings
- Erection not maintained as long as previously — the ring's elasticity has diminished and tension is insufficient
- Visible cracking, tearing, or surface changes — ring material is degrading; replace immediately
- After approximately 20–30 uses (Ultimate II) or 30–40 uses (Mach) — proactive replacement before noticeable degradation
- After oil-based lubricant exposure — oil degrades silicone and rubber ring materials significantly; replace affected rings and use water-based lubricant only
FAQs
Can I use Mach rings on my Automatic 2000, or Ultimate rings on my Automatic 3000?
Both ring types are compatible with all Pos-T-Vac cylinders — the ring type included with your system is Timm Medical's recommended ring for that system, but either ring will physically fit. Many users with the Automatic 2000 switch to Mach rings for the wider pressure distribution; this is a supported upgrade.
Can I use Pos-T-Vac rings with my Encore or Augusta Medical system?
Pos-T-Vac rings are designed for Pos-T-Vac cylinders and are frequently used as affordable replacement rings across other VED brands — the ring diameter and material are compatible with most standard cylinder openings. For Encore-specific replacement rings, see Encore Impo-Aid Ring Kit. For Vacurect-specific rings, see Vacurect Tension Ring Replacement.
What is HCPCS code E1399 on the Ultimate II rings?
E1399 is the HCPCS miscellaneous durable medical equipment code that can be submitted with a sales receipt for potential insurance reimbursement with some plans — particularly relevant for post-prostatectomy rehabilitation use. Coverage varies significantly by insurer and plan. Mach rings do not carry this code designation.
The rings in my kit are marked with a size — how do I find my size?
The size is imprinted directly on each ring. For Ultimate II rings, look for RNDX, RND01, RND02, RND03, or RND04. For Mach rings, look for a number (e.g., 3, 5, 8). Order the same designation as your current ring for a direct replacement.
