Troubleshooting — When to Order This Kit
| Symptom | First Try | If That Doesn't Help |
|---|---|---|
| Pump losing vacuum during use; erection weaker than expected | Apply System Oil to existing O-rings — 1-2 drops, work slide tube back and forth | Order this O-Ring Kit + System Oil — O-rings need replacement |
| Pump releases pressure immediately or won't build vacuum at all | Check that tension ring is not blocking the cylinder opening; check for visible damage | Order this kit — Valve Stopper or O-rings likely need replacement |
| Erection maintenance rings worn out or wrong size | This is not an O-ring issue — see Vacurect Tension Ring Replacement | |

FAQs
Should I try the System Oil before ordering this kit?
Yes — if your Vacurect is losing vacuum, apply 1-2 drops of Vacurect System Oil to the existing O-rings and work the slide tube back and forth to distribute. This restores vacuum performance in many cases without requiring full O-ring replacement. Order the O-Ring Kit only if oiling the existing O-rings doesn't resolve the problem.
Do I need System Oil with this kit?
Yes — Vacurect System Oil must be applied to the new O-rings during and after installation. If you don't already have it, order it alongside this kit. The O-Ring Kit and System Oil together are the complete Vacurect pump restoration solution.
Is installation something I can do myself?
The kit includes instructions. Many users replace their own O-rings successfully — the Vacurect mechanism is designed to be user-serviceable. If you're unsure, call us before attempting the replacement: 866-218-0902.
Will this work with my Vacurect OTC Custom (Model 1002)?
Yes — the O-Ring Kit is compatible with both the Vacurect Model 1001 (Deluxe / Plus Kit) and Model 1002 (OTC Custom).
