What It Solves
| Problem During VED Use | How the Shield Helps |
|---|---|
| Scrotal tissue drawn into cylinder | Physical barrier at the cylinder base prevents non-penile tissue from entering the chamber during vacuum |
| Pubic hair pulled during pumping | Shield covers the skin and hair at the base — eliminates the most common discomfort complaint for first-time VED users |
| Testicles ascending during erection | The shield holds position against the body, reducing upward scrotal migration during vacuum therapy |
| Excessive lubricant required | The silicone disc creates a smoother interface between cylinder and body — less lubricant needed to maintain seal |
How to Use
- Apply a small amount of water-based lubricant to the edge of the shield
- Place the shield flat against the body at the base of the penis — the shield sits between your body and the cylinder opening
- Apply the cylinder over the penis and the shield as normal
- Proceed with vacuum therapy as usual — the shield remains in place throughout the session
- Remove, rinse, and allow to dry after use — reusable for multiple sessions
FAQs
Is this compatible with both twist and slip Pos-T-Vac systems?
Yes — the scrotal shield sits between the cylinder and the body regardless of the pump connection type. Compatible with all Pos-T-Vac systems including the BOS-3, BOS-2, Manual 3000, and MVP 700.
Can I use this with non-Pos-T-Vac VED systems?
Yes — while manufactured by Timm Medical for Pos-T-Vac systems, the shield is a universal silicone disc that works with the cylinder of any VED brand. The concept is the same regardless of brand.
How do I clean it?
Rinse with mild soap and warm water after each use. Allow to air dry fully before storage. Do not use alcohol-based cleaners or oil-based products on the silicone disc.
I experience scrotal pull even with a bushing insert — will the shield help?
Yes — the shield and the bushing inserts address the problem from different angles. The bushing narrows the cylinder opening; the shield protects the external skin and tissue at the base. Using both together provides the most complete solution for scrotal tissue discomfort.
