When to Replace Your Pump Head
- Pump mechanism fails to create suction despite correct operation
- Safety release valve no longer functions correctly — fails to release pressure on demand or releases unintentionally
- Pump head damaged physically — cracked housing, broken button, or damaged valve
- Cylinder is still in good condition — replacing only the pump head is more economical than replacing the complete system
FAQs
How do I know if my system uses a twist or slip cylinder?
Twist cylinders require rotation to lock onto the pump head — you will feel the cylinder seat and lock after turning. Slip cylinders push straight in without rotation. If your system has a rotating lock, it uses a twist cylinder and this pump head is compatible. If it pushes straight in, you have a slip system — call us to identify the correct replacement: 866-218-0902.
Is this the same as the Manual 3000 pump head?
Both are manual twist-lock pump heads at the same price point, but designed for different Pos-T-Vac systems — the Manual 1000 for the PTV 1000 / IVP-600 series and the Manual 3000 for the V113 MOS system. Ordering the wrong head may result in a poor fit. If unsure which system you have, check your device's model label or call us before ordering: 866-218-0902.
Does this come with a cylinder?
No — pump head only. Your existing twist-compatible Pos-T-Vac cylinder is required. If you also need a replacement cylinder, see the Pos-T-Vac Twist Cylinder.
