When to Replace Your Encore Cylinder
- Visible cracks or chips — a cracked cylinder cannot maintain vacuum; replace immediately
- Cloudy or discolored to the point of reduced visibility — clarity during use helps confirm correct erection achievement
- Rough or chipped rim at the body contact end — a damaged rim reduces seal quality and causes skin discomfort
- Inconsistent vacuum despite correct pump function — micro-fractures in the cylinder wall can cause vacuum loss that isn't visible; if pump and rings are confirmed good but suction is inconsistent, the cylinder may need replacement
- Every 6–12 months with regular use — proactive replacement maintains consistent therapy performance

FAQs
My system came with an 8" cylinder — is this the right replacement?
Yes — if your existing cylinder is 8" long with a tapered bore (wider at the pump end, narrower at the ring end), this is the direct OEM replacement. Check the length of your existing cylinder before ordering to confirm.
Does this include the ring removal sleeve?
Yes — the ring removal sleeve (ring ejector) is included with the standard tube.
Will my existing ring loader still work with this replacement tube?
Yes — the standard replacement tube is machined identically to the original, so your existing Encore ring loader will fit correctly. Note: if you ever need the oversized tube, the ring loader does NOT fit the oversized tube — rings must be loaded manually on the oversized version.
Can I use non-Encore pump heads with this cylinder?
The Encore cylinder connection is proprietary to Encore pump heads. Pos-T-Vac, Augusta Medical, and Osbon pump heads are not compatible with Encore cylinders. Use only Encore pump heads with this cylinder.
